Mr. McCarthy has been a Reno citizen for 10 years and councilman since 2012. He has 2 children. Mr. McCarthy graduated Paris High School, Paris Jr. College, and East Texas Police Academy. He has been a peace officer for 23 years and received his Master Peace Officer certification in 2007 and is currently employed by Lamar County Sheriff's Department.
