Chief of Police Massey began his law enforcement career in 1996 as a Detention Officer at the Lamar County Sheriff Department and then for the Collin County Sheriff Department in 1997. In 1998 Chief Massey became a patrol officer for the Paris Police Department. Chief Massey continued to work there for over twelve years and served as a Field Training Officer and Breath Test Operator. The last seven years there he served as a Detective in the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force where he investigated auto related crimes in a twelve county region where he recovered over $5 million in stolen property and filed many organized crime cases. Chief Massey then worked for the Lamar County Sheriff Department for two years before coming to the Reno Police Department. March 12, 2018 Massey was promoted as Reno Police Chief.
